I'd be happy with another album of this quality. This is still one of my most listened to Opeth albums.

I would like to get further out of their comfort zone. Mikaels adding an orchestra which is a good start

yeah i like my opeth without easily definable genre. heritage is straight 70s prog. i want something more unique. whatever that may be. i'm not one to complain about missing growls and all that.

I cant think of a 70s album that sounds like Heritage

well it doesn't sound like any album in particular but it could have easily come out back in that time

Well it's a transitional step for Mikael I guess. I would hope he stays away from metal on the next album

They'll be some metal instrumentation on some tracks at the least

i'm not positive theres gonna be any metal instrumentation at all. he said something about 'sinister riffs' but he said the same thing leading up to heritage.

It would be cool to hear some more middle eastern influences. An 8 minute trance inducing track with female vocals
