whenever i start up this album, the first couple seconds of Siberia make me wince.. i dunno if it's over-compressed or what, but it just sounds awful. then Lights starts singing and life starts making sense again.

This album was made during that period of like six months when dubstep became super popular, and seemingly every freakin' musician wanted to incorporate dubstep sounds into their music, and it all sounded terrible. Really detracts from this album, which could have been a lot better.

Yeah this album kinda has some distortion and shit in the mix or whatever, but I kinda dig it. Makes it sound more unique and more recognizable.
