maybe i've just lost an appreciation for generally pretty, simple songs at some point but this just feels so rudimentary to me that i'd think it was contemporary children's music. instrumentally i just find it sickly honeyed and lyrically i guess not "mature".

doesn't help that the timbre of her voice is just fucking stingy to me, à la regina spektor. it's the type of thing that only personally turns me off when it's just a degree over the top of what i like to hear in distinct female vocalists.

i like this far less than most of the stuff i've 3'd FUCK.
