My university's student newspaper just ranked this album the 4th best of 2011 thus far.

For reference, Bright Eyes' The People's Key was 8th, The Dears' Degeneration Street was 9th, and The Decemberists' The King Is Dead was 10th.

I am seriously at a loss for words.

The Decemberists have released the best album of the year to this point, and I wouldn't be surprised if nobody tops them.

The only thing I ever liked by these guys was "Pieces." Won't bother to check this out

Sowing, thanks to you (again), I went out and bought the Deluxe Edition of The King Is Dead. It was on sale (20 bucks down from the original price of $50), and as the package came with a hard-cover photo book and a DVD I thought it was a steal.

But more importantly, I am enjoying the music heaps thus far =)

I think Screaming Bloody Murder is a terrific album. Very well done and produced. Full of energy and it is creative within the confines of Sum 41's abilities. I think the reviewer was too subjective.

Well if this album sounds anything like the single i hered then i guess maybe ill stop beating a dead horse and give up on the band. The last thing i want to hear is another Underclass Hero.

I've listen to this album without any external opinions/reviews so, in my opinion it's pretty good in general. Very solid riffs and some of the hooks are catchy. Is it the best? no.. Is it cr*p? no.

I will say it's a solid 3.5/5
