I'm wondering if the band will challenge the listener in their next outing.

We've already touched on their next outing remember. Knott has all the answers.
|

I know but I am lonely and have no one to talk music with. =(
I am actually very curious. I may have disliked this but I love folk regardless; and thus, with the minority in the publics eye and the lack of content worth biding my time for, I need to stay optimistic for their next album.

Little Lion Man is a great song, faggots
|
| |
...And the opinion of a man who labels others for disagreeing with him should be taken as a credible
one. *sarcasm =/

Album is good, just not the greatest shit ever.
|
| |
I don't understand how it's good. At its core; it's a generic pop album.

The guy clearly puts passion into his music, even if it's generic.
|
| |
Ah, maybe so but it all seems too false for me. Passion means little to me when he walks out on stage lying. =/

being generic really negates any sort of real passion.

I just started listening to them so I know little about is dishonesty in his lyrics so if you could fill me in on that I'd appreciate it. Everything aside, I enjoy the music at face value but it's not a classic by any stretch of the imagination and far over-hyped by wannabe hipsters who've never heard of folk until this.

Little Lion Man was great the first time...any more than that and it gets old

This is gettign too popular for hipsters to like. In fact, its hipsters that are bashing it, from what I've seen.
|
| |
That's; I guess where we draw the line. =)
I take the idea of an album being a 3.5, an album being 'great' rather seriously. It's not something
I'll toss around.
But I mean; it's not even the lyricism; which at its core isn't all that wonderful but the problems
rest in themselves. They waltz out on stage wearing clearly American influenced clothing, which I'm
fine with but then start singing in Irish accents.
They are clearly 'trying' to sound folk, as opposed to really being influenced by that particular
sound. This is a reflection on the lyricism too which has this transparent imagery; like
glass into what could be folk; but isn't.
Nothing is real here. It's canned food. =/ Or in this case; canned folk.

Wannabe Hipsters =/= Hipsters Hans.
|
| |
I'm sorry, I'm still not sure exactly what a hipster is. =)
We don't really use the term here but I'll just agree with you anyway buddy. =)

Hipsters are alot of things, but a component to being a hipster most of the time is trying to appear anti-establishment at all times. Example, if something is popular, they will immediately denounce it, even if they loved it before it became popular.

The album is good, not ragging on it. I guess it's cause I hear Lion Man on the radio/in public places quite a bit.
|
| |
Oh I understand. So basically trying to be unique or self-fashioned for the sake of being so? =/
Like if I were to wear clothes because nobody else wears them?
