I am going to pick this up today for sure. To hear it is their masterpiece is enough to pique my interest to say the least. They lost me after Youthanasia, but this review is enough to get me to the record store.

If you left them after Youthanasia, you won't be disappointed with this.

I still feel as though United Abominations is better than this - but this needs more time. Too much has come out lately and all of it only got in the 5-10 listen range. Not enough.

This is more fun when I leave it for a while and return every now and then.

Hit the nail on the head there. 'How The Story Ends' is old school Megadeth and I love it.

Damn, this is now my second favourite megadeth album. Just like RiP, I can't stop listening to it. Chris Broderick still has no melody, though.

It's great but RiP is better no question for me.

Friedman combined melody and shred eloquently, whereas Broderick's shred seems to centre more around showmanship. Don't get me wrong though, he's a beast on Endgame, but his solos are no where as memorable as Friedman's.

^ Indeed. Friedman and Polland are way better than Broderick.

I love this album. Instantly, I liked this album a lot. Songs like "1,320," "Bodies," "How the Story Ends," and "Headcrusher" really brought the thrash and showed that Dave still has some balls left. To be honest, a Megadeth album hasn't grabbed me as much as this one since Rust in Peace.

Same old Megadeth.

Good music.

Dave ruins everything with his vocals.

Dave should have stolen Chuck Billy from Testament back when they were having all sorts of issues during the Souls of Black days.

Couldn't imagine anyone but Mustaine singing in MD
