We need more proggy gothy heavy metal that's somehow both futuristic and pastoral. Best album ever

Glad to see so much love for this lately.
I fuckin' adore this album. Mindcrime resides on a plane of existence that is utterly unattainable for anything else for me, but besides that this is their best work, and probably their most adventurous. The atmosphere is fucking untouchable, and at least three top-ten 'ryche tracks here. Literally can't get enough of it.

It's my second favorite, but yeah, absolutely amazing record. Probably their most experimental as well, along with Promised Land

If not for Gonna Get Close to You (which kinda has it's moments) this would be a straight fucking perfect record.

I agree with your comment about GGCTY. I love their atmospheric stuff, but something has to rank near the bottom.

London is so great (especially after you realize itβs about vampires)

@Titan: Maybe I'm an outlier here, but Walk in the Shadows is probably my least favorite on the album. To me, it's the closest song to musically matching the glam image that was forced on the band at the time. My favorites here are definitely the more proggy/atmospheric cuts
