Again, you're all missing the point.

I don't think I am witnessing or am a part of some revolution led by Green Day. I could not disagree with them more about what their lyrics state. But, I do not let these differences get between me and good music though, the lyrics have not effect on how I judge the album, as they shouldn't.

I only ask myself when listening to the album, is this something I'd listen to again? and it is... I have listened to the album several times now and I like nearly every song on it. I would constantly tap my foot throughout each play and some songs got stuck in my head all day.

I don't understand why you would say we are just trolling, that only sounds like you are trying to get us angry... Or you are just afraid someone disagrees with you...

I think this album is much better than American Idiot... (I know I'm going to get a ton of flak for that) but it is.

When I look over American Idiot's song list, they are several songs that made me think of the album negatively "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams", "Give Me Novacaine", and "Are We The Waiting". These songs are really off for Green Day. But yet those who hate 21st Century Breakdown defend American Idiot as if it were Green Day's first album (probably the first album they've heard).

And although songs like "Last Night on Earth" and "21 Guns" are not great and even "Know Your Enemy" is a little repetitive, but other songs like "¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) will definitely be classics.

I think in 21st Century Breakdown Green Day brought back the element of unexpectedness, something that had been lost in American Idiot.

I strongly suggest another listen through for everyone. This time try not to be biased from the beginning, give it a real chance before you all just shut it down as something new and different and politically motivated.

i don't like this album not for it's political stance or whatever but because it is boring and sterile and annoying and it sucks

Surely that sentence should be reversed? American Idiot was totally different to anything the band had done before, and was a huge success after a few dissappointing albums commercially. The albums ambition and success really wasnt expected.

21st Century Breakdown on the other hand was pretty much everything I expected. An overly-long blend of their earlier sound with the scale and ambition of American Idiot, trying to keep their older fans as well as their newer ones who discovered them through the previous album.

I loved American Idiot, and think this album is ok too, as the sonfgs themselves are pretty good imo, but to say that this was unexpected while American Idiot was is simply wrong.

Wrong. If you're going to have vocals in a particular language, then you should be judged on the impact of what you're saying as well. Otherwise, make it instrumental. This line alone makes me think you're f**king stupid.

I think this album is much better than American Idiot.

Wrong. It's not.

But yet those who hate 21st Century Breakdown defend American Idiot as if it were Green Day's first album

Wrong. Plenty of people here enjoy AI and hate this, and to imply that sputnik hasn't heard their previous work is absurd.

I think in 21st Century Breakdown Green Day brought back the element of unexpectedness

Wrong. 21st Century Breakdown is predictable and boring; American Idiot made people go 'wtf?'

give it a real chance before you all just shut it down as something new and different and politically motivated.

This is not different. Just because it's something new to you doesn't mean it's groundbreaking or musically innovative. It's one of the worst concept albums I've ever heard. And as for it being politically motivated, it's not. It's just an assortment of vague anti-establishment taglines with no actual deeper meaning whatsoever. And you also can't use that as a pro when you've already asserted lyrics aren't important.

I would constantly tap my foot throughout each play and some songs got stuck in my head all day.

Catchiness and toe-tapping does not always equal good music and in this case it definitely doesn't because the songs are almost all the fucking same.

And although songs like "Last Night on Earth" and "21 Guns" are not great and even "Know Your Enemy" is a little repetitive

Some songs are bad 5/5

but other songs like "¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) will definitely be classics.

Don't be stupid, saying things like this make me wonder whether you knew Green Day existed before American Idiot's title-track hit MTV.

In conclusion your post is retarded.
