Even the good songs are held back either by terrible lyrics, bad production or both of these. I feel for example that using that chorus riff and melody in "dismiss the cynics" is an affront to the melody itself, it could be put in a much better song

don’t really care about the lyrics and i actually like the production on here. but tbh half the enjoyment on this album is nostalgic

meh, that's the kind of comment that belongs in an In Flames thread from their most recent two albums, not an album as good as this underrated gem.

my favorite band ever. every album is amazing but then they refocused their sound on this album and it changed my life and then they perfected their new sound on the next two albums. what a run by these old dudes
