PROTECTOOOOR OF MAAAAAAANKIIIIIIIIIIND

This is pretty fucking sweet! I didn't expect an album that good would follow WOOAS. The riffs on this sound like an inspired Be'lakor.

They're definitely one of the better melodic death metal bands.

I don't actually own any amon amarth records. What would be the best starting point for a newcomer?

This was my first Amon Amarth album, and also my favorite. For newcomers, I'd say either this album or With Oden.

Yeah, my passion for death metal has sort of been rekindled after listening to the satanist non stop for the past 3 days. I used to like these guys but I never got an album.

all their albums are accesable and it really doesn't matter which you start at, but With Oden, this and Versus the World are easily their best
|
| |
Thanks for the advice!
|
| |
Yeah, one does not simply overlook Versus the World. The opening and closing tracks are some of their best evuh.
