Iām starting to enjoy this somewhat, didnāt think Iād see the day. The aesthetic is certainly more appealing than it was and those harsh thumping sounds no longer sound so unappealing or incessant. Beautifully ugly.

"public castration" will always be the pinnacle of this swans era imo. i also like cop more than this tbh

PUBLIC CASTRATION is truly great and one of the special kind of live albums that is so drastically different from the recorded versions of the tracks that Iāve considered giving it a rating anyway (otherwise I never rate live albums š¤·š¼āāļø).
This is probably my #1 Swans release though. Thereās just nothing like it, and while it has a similar kind of masochistic mood as COP, thereās still a faint, underlyingā¦buoyancy (?) that makes it surprisingly easy to listen to. COP is excellent but itās not something I can just toss on whenever. This, I can.
