They pretty much did that through the whole thing. Both of them listen to more of the mainstream metal bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, etc. I also played them Silent Waters and they liked that too. They also like Opeth so the progressive death metal of Silent Waters wasn't too shocking for them, but they never listened to symphonic black/folk metal like this. They were pleasantly surprised.
