Am I the only one who thinks the production on this kinda sucks? Lacks a lot of low end and the distribution of the guitar(s) between the stereo channels could have been done better

That or maybe it's time I get new earbuds again

I agree but also think it's part of what makes it interesting

The low end on their albums has always been lacking imo.

Very true. I can't even remember a section on any of their albums where the bass is solo'd like for a verse or something. Then again, do they even have a bassist? I can only remember a drummer, guitarist, and guitarist/keyboardist.

Only song I can think of is the bass in ABL drives the verses. And they had a bassist during ABL era, but he left due to family issues. But yeah, bass is abused in this band. haha

Same with Linkin Park, now that I think about it. Though I'm not as familiar with their later crap.

I really want to give this a higher rating but I can't bring myself to. If the production were better it would probably be a 4.

Fuck production, Leto's voice is classsss on this. Plus its production has a unqiue vibe they've never been able to touch on since.

The outtakes from this era are sick. Valhalla, Revolution, Anarchy in Tokyo, Ocam's Razor... if they replaced some of the weaker links on this, this may probably my favorite album by these guys

fair play Anarchy in Tokyo is fuckin good, but I find this album to be perfect the way it is. The overly polished production compliments the cold vibes of the album, I mean it's largely space themed, and you know what else is cold? Space
