If I'm gonna listen to a folk artist who can't really sing

Every opinion you've ever had about music became obsolete after you shared this statement. It's alright to dislike his music, but to say he can't sing? The man has the voice of a fucking angel! Comparing him to Dylan is a huge, embarrassing lol on your part.

Check out 2:13 for proof dude... that's talent:

I just did, sue me

The argument with the singing, I expect, is his overuse of falsetto which makes him sound "bad" (really he's just less accessible, but you know how people get) soz to Ninjuice if I'm wrong

When his falsetto is annoying to you, yes.

Personal preference is an acceptable reason to think he can't sing IMO

ninjuice doesn't like the vocals on this album. that's fine, but to say he can't sing is a whole other matter.

the dude's falsetto is clear and strong, and he's got a lot of emotion behind it. his chest voice isn't as strong as his falsetto but it's still pretty good.

problem is to some the liberal use of falsetto can be annoying.

Agreeing on that, simply because it has been clarified that it is Ninjuice's own personal opinion that Vernon is a bad singer.

Good singing is pretty defined in a technical sense, whilst opinion-wise it's a whole different ball game. Yeah, you're entitled to your opinion, but like qwe said:

but to say he can't sing is a whole other matter.

I love lump sum! I'm assuming you've heard the daytrotter version? It's almost better than the album version.
