I cant stand this band at all...Especially sinister gates. He is cocky as hell and i watched some live videos and he couldnt even pull the stuff off live. And the singing sounded like a cat being stepped on. I liked seize the day for 2 seconds after i heard it, then i picked up some other stuff and threw it away.

I think this album was ok. It had some good songs, some ok songs, and some bad songs. Critical Acclaim was the first song I heard and I thought it was great. Then when I heard Almost Easy I Thought it was going to be incredible. The other songs that blew me away were A Little Piece of Heaven, and Unbound. The other songs were all pretty much ok. I despise Dear God though. I can't listen to it. I never want to hear Avenged Sevenfold singing country LOL.

I saw a vid of one of their songs where a guy solos on a grave being lowered into the ground. Definition of tacky.

I think that City of Evil is their best album and that it was a good decision to abandon playing crappy metalcore. This kinda fails in comparison to its predecessor.
