If you think B.B. King isn't overrated, then you have no knowledge of the blues whatsoever.

lol comment of the day number two, it keeps getting better. B.B. King plays one fucking scale and does it more passionately, with more precision, and better timing than any other blues guitarist in the world (thats not to say he's talented in terms of technicality, because he's not)

I take back what I said, Eric Clapton is the most overrated "blues" musician. B.B. King is close

Muddy Waters is awesome though, progthunder. I wouldn't call King overrated, at least not unduly so.

Also, Neutral, stop pretending you know shit about blues please. Thanks.
Next thing I know, he'll be telling me that he knows soul and funk

Yes Clapton is very overrated (though I like Cream). And lol at not mentioning the legendary Robert Johnson.

Do not get me wrong, I like B.B. king. I never said he was bad. He's really good, but not even close to being the best bluesician like he's made out to be.
Yes, I made up bluesician

Lol @Maniac, do you even play an instrument? Have you ever studied music? Have you worked with professional musicians? Have you been taught by a professional who's worked with tons of classic rock bands from the 70's? Aren't you like 15? Don't tell me I dont know my shit son. (I still love you by the way, your my favorite)

Could Stevie Wonder be considered soul/R&B? Cause if so you best take back your statement.

I'm 16, play multiple instruments, have studied theory, plan on going to college for music, and nobody beats the blue man group.

it doesnt cost that much money to study music, get a job. Also, I worked with professional musicians at a camp I went to for three years, so yeah, I guess it cost money for that. I know my shit, don't tell me I don't know blues. I didn't need money to know what I'm talking about. I've been into this stuff my whole life (even if my taste sucked before 2-3 years ago). When I want to say shit that I don't know about, I go to a skramz thread or something like that. Saying B.B. King is overrated (well, saying he's the most overrated blues musician on earth) just shows that you're a 16-year-old holier-than-thou elitist (kinda like me, but I'm 17) who wants to be different so he says fantastic musicians are overrated. Done.
