Chris is a cool drummer, love the sound of his drums, feel very powerful and sound crisp.

Not a huge fan of either drummer to be honest.
I think Gavin is somewhat overrated. Don't get me wrong, he's a good drummer, just not a particularly special one imo.

Gavin has been given a ridiculous amount of praise since he's joined PT and he deserves a lot of it because of his groove and technique (I mean he's a jazz drummer so he's already ahead of the game), but I do feel he could have more interesting drum patterns and fills, and he tends to stick to one pattern for too long at times like on Sound of Muzak, now while people will argue that he's doing it for the sake of the song and not trying to show off, there is still room for different ideas to be brought in the mix.
