FII is top 5 for me as it is, which says more about the quality of their post-Scenes albums than it does about the quality of FII but it does have some of their best songs and has a much better, more natural feel to it than anything that came after Scenes.

I dig the King's X dude's vox. They're not the best, but they're pretty decent.

Even with its flaws FII is still in the better half of DT's discog. [2]

New Millennium, Lines in the Sand, Anna Lee and Trial of Tears are better than any post 2001 song.

@ChoccyPhilly, yeah, these are wuite good songs, but the highest I can give is 4.5 and 4 to Octavarium (yeah, I really hate the whole album). Line in the Sand and Trial of Tears are both 5. Especially the first one...

Maybe "organic" would have been a better word to describe the feel of the album compared to their later stuff but there's only a couple of songs that sound forced so I stand by my original statement.

FII feels more natural than most of the post 6 degrees stuff. The band sound like they've let loose

and have a little fun with the music as opposed to calculating every damn note.

Agreed. If they nixed the bad songs and kept the five best and released it with ACOS song it'd easily make top 5 DT

Yeah, but ACOS is long enough to fill the rest of the time. Now that I think of it, Hollow Years does sound rather natural to them unlike so much of their new stuff

The original demo called You Or Me was pretty decent though. But seriously I don't blame DT for You Not Me, it was all the producer's decision to make Desmond Child rework the song
