And the fact each member has better bands or projects they could and should prioritize over it makes it so much worse

My immediate thought after a few listens is that the song structure and chorus are a little more Octanecore than I prefer but it's so good to hear those iconic Beau/Saosin riffs again and Cove sounds pretty great. Got me hyped up for the full album (not that I wasn't already).

I saw them live last November (a bucket list band to see live, for me). Except for one song, the whole set was song from this album, and they were fantastic. I was also kind of worried about how Cove would sound, and he sounded really good. Whatever they are cooking, it's very hard to reach this album's heights, but that show and this new tune have me hopeful for something that doesn't disrespect their legacy, at least.

It’s good but honestly it almost feels like they’re ripping themselves off lol. Literally some of those guitar licks they’ve done before. I also wish it was balls to the wall the whole time since it’s a comeback. The vocal melodies are pretty good but not top notch. Theres all my complaining 😂
But it’s a good song. Glad they’re back and stoked for more stuff

New song ROCKS. Definitely S/T 2.0 vibes but that's not a bad thing. Cove sounds great too
Phil fits this band like a glove, dude brought the riffs. Glad he was able to get back on his feet after AILD imploded (twice)

Phil in the band is both mega cool and weird simultaneously lol

New song is meh.. sounds heavier instrumentally which is a plus but lacks catchy harmonies.

Definitely needs the harmonies back and less generic verses. Hoping this is the weakest/most straightforward track since it's the lead single.

Oh Phil is on guitar here now? That is indeed weirdly cool. New song is good, and Cove was always my preferred vocalist for this band. His melodies on the new track didn't blow me away but overall it's a really solid track, definitely eager to hear more.
