"Feels are more important than sounds"

If only I felt this way, I'd have more "emotional this is how I FEEL INSIDE" albums 5'd lol

I can agree with that and in general that's far more important in establishing an album's vibe anyway

I agree, lyrics alone aren't enough for me to like something, it has to be musically lush / diverse / interesting as well

that's why I have Figure 8 at a 3 and Pink Moon at a 3.5

You can tear up just from an album's sounds, and lyrics enhance that.

"The strings and joanna"

yeah sounds and feels arent mutually exclusive, but ill say some albums are technically impressive even pioneering but devoid of emotion and that human touch and never resonate with you on a deeper level. Then again you can have computer produced music that can produce frisson so I guess it boils down to personal taste

"I'll just turn off any independent thought, expression, feeling or imagination and just nod, point clap and gurn. I might 4 a Jimmy Eat World album then."

"There's something here I can't put me finger on. It's Radiohead stretching out into something that runs deeper than anything else they've done"

i had this at a 4, but it grew off me immensely, to the point where i can't listen to it.....poly dude, i obviously struck a chord with you which made you check ratings of mine that you can criticize, many of which probably need to be changed, with this NOT being one of them

i could care less if i have no credibility with you either and yep, i'm voting for Trump
