Ah, I should rephrase: I haven't gotten into anything these guys have done because I've ONLY heard this and Eve.

So I literally haven't gotten into them because I have yet to listen. Kind of like Dance Gavin Dance where I heard one album, quite enjoyed it, and promptly forgot to check the rest of the discog

The problem with Emery is that I can never get enough of their multiple vocal parts. It's like whenever a part of a song isn't going crazy with the layers of vocals I'm just like "stop wasting precious time where you could be doing that thing I love".

I've actually never even listened to Eve but I've heard all their other albums dozens of times. Maybe I need to change that.

I liked Eve, it just didn't reach the heights this album has. I guess they also morphed from this style out of time, so there are lest rockers and more subdued things, which can be positive or negative.

Eve bored me when it dropped. I should revisit soon and see if I still feel that way

Emery's best LP could be post-hardcore's finest ever! The album of 2009.

eve is my second fav after the question. and yes you were never alone is severely underrated. they have a pretty solid discog overall, with im only a man being their weakest (and yet it has one of their best songs, "from crib to coffin").

And they did it with the screams that people always hated on.

Eve didn't catch me much, but I guess that fifth listen is gonna open doors, eh?

And this really is an excellent album. Post hardcore in the modern era has been struggling as of late.
