Jens Bogren's surround mix from the 2008 DVD sounds incredible. You have to toy a little with foobar's Channel Mixer until you get a balanced downmix to stereo but it's absolutely worth the time. The biggest downside is that some of the acoustic guitars are quite low with any settings but the beefed up sounds are godly, not to mention it has stupidly good dynamics all around. Can't believe I got a used copy for like €7.

Could legit bump my rating just for it, even stuff like the little solos 3:15 into Benighted become an album highlight when they are properly isolated, and the last 30 seconds of the song are bliss

Their surround mixes are great really, I also love to have GR and Watershed in healthy-sounding editions.

Don't have the ones Nuclear Blast hid in expensive sets though, nor the Deliverance/Damnation 2015 stuff. Edit: also don't have PC's bluray but who cares, the CD is surprisingly fine

As a dude who isn't much of a metalhead anymore, this just reminds me how it's done. What a classic.

As odd at its sounds it’s always been a nonsense genre but has some of the greatest bands and albums.

For sure, zak. Opeth and Death are the only real classic metal hands I've heard the complete discogs of. Love em both but I really do need to brush up on the classics.

When Opeth hits it’s one of the greatest. Absolute nightmare when it digs its claws in though cos it’s so hard to listen to anything else.

Oh yeah, when I first got into em it was a bit of an addiction. I don't think any metal act has come close to what Opeth have done for me.
