Gore is a great album. It just isn’t a great DEFTONES album, which is an extremely high standard.

I think it’s funny how new-ish Deftones fans think DE, KNY and SNW are their best albums, while more longtime fans say WP and self titled. Not saying one is better than the other, just an observation.

But Kompys — seriously. ATF has Be Quiet and Drive (arguably the greatest Deftones song) and My Own Summer — those songs alone make ATF a better album than Gore.

Stickfelt, that’s a great ranking, aside from s/t being way too low. Listen to Hexagram, Deathblow, Battleaxe, When Girls Telephone Boys and Anniversary again, then tell me it’s one of their worst albums.

Thanks Lark! Yeah I don’t know what it is about S/T.. I enjoy it, but I find it pretty easy and vanilla for Deftones standards. But jammed it a long time, might put it on during this down time.

all the rankings here are amazing because they are so different. I guess that tells us, that every Deftones album is quality shit.

Musically, WP and DE are on the same level but seeing the circumstances of DE, I like it quite a bit more. What a comeback. 3-7 are almost interchangeable, depends on mood.

White Pony seems to be at least the most unifying, in the sense that even in the situation Larkin was describing, it's the one album just as likely to make it to a new-Tones fan's top 3 as a classic-Tones fan's

@Larkin tbf it's been a while since I last heard Around the Fur, I do remember liking Be Quiet and Drive quite a bit but My Own Summer (and most of the other songs) is a little too nu-metal for my tastes lol
