n my opinion, brutal death metal, like Cryptopsy and Cannibal Corpse, is the most pathetic kind of the music there is. The blast double-bass beats are so uncreative, and the vocals just make me crack up. Growling can be good, like with Opeth or Amon Amarth, but this just sounds ridiculous. Brutal death metal isn't expressive of emotion or lyrical talent. The lyrics are only disgusting for the sake of it.

ah, techdeath. i hate techdeath. as a canadian, i especially hate french canadian techdeath. it all sounds the same, the vox suck balls in the same mundane undecipherable inhalations or squeals, and it forgoes any kind of musicianship for trying to be as br00tal as possible, but just comes out flat instead. cryptopsy's most famous album isn't anything special and deserves a trv 1.5 at best, though the fact they did this back in 96 is somewhat impressive

i loathed the vocals the first time i heard it. now they literally make no difference to me but enhance the music. the riffs were always outstanding and they stand in a league of their own

Any rating under a 5 is objectively wrong m/en

Also vox are the best part. Worm's lyrics are the icing on the cake.
