Maybe, but you're making an axiom out of that. I myself don't care what Hanson or Chan think plus I loathe some albums they both adore (Brand New, mewithoutyou, etc). I like this because I like this, and that might be the case with lots of other users.
Also let me remind you the world doesn't end with sputnik, there's A LOT of people who enjoy this outside the site so the hive mind thingy is not 100% accurate.

There is absolutely a hive mind regarding this album. Read through the older parts of this thread and older reviews, anyone who dared questin this album pre MJ got skewered. Atavan wrote a negative review of it and eventually took it down for getting flamed.
there is a hivemind about any thing that involves opinions on this site and to be fair the negative reviews of this have mostly pretty much sucked except probably
no actually they all sucked. can totally understand why someone would dislike this tho
