that new game album was his best work in years and kendrick has like 3 or 4 releases that are simply better than it

Matter of the fact is that Kendrick knows how to compensate for his simplicity in lyricism by working with individuals who can get his words across as effectively as possible with some of the best production, sound design choice, and performance of any rap record. I quite honestly need to give this a bump because it still remains as one of the best records of the decade so far. Even more so than Pimp a Butterfly.

Not to mention he can prose a pretty damn good story, complex lyricism isnt always a benefit for a musician.

"A lot of the traditional things rap fans look for are missing from Kendrick."

Lol'd hard at this. Should have been "A lot of traditional things I, Lambsbread, (false)expert of popular opinions among hip hop fans, look for are missing from Kendrick."

"Game is far passed his prime"

Basically confirms you have no idea what you're talking about. Those lyrics you posted are wack too, I don't even like immortal technique anymore but y'all are ridiculous - "omg lambs is so wrong, this site is so knowledgeable about hip hop that's why there's almost no other hip hop reviews besides this one and virtually no one on this entire site that prefers hip hop as their favorite genre" sorry but I can't take opinions from a site seriously who basically had no clue who KRS-One was before I came along.

Kendricks cool I don't even care but if Were being honest Tech would eat Kendrick alive in any lyricism battle. I find it hilarious you can't even admit this obvious fact.. Techs forte is lyrics he's one of the best lyricists there is. Even game is far more lyrical than Kendrick. Kendricks lyrics lack meaning- he never actually really says anything besides vaguely talking about how legendary he is and how he prove haters wrong or overcame the hood. He raps about the same shit over and over; and it's funny he's talking about unnecessarily throwing out big words to make Basic points when that's literally what he does every track.

Games way better than Kendrick but you're not gonna be able to just jump into his latest album to get that. Takes a refined taste and knowledge of hip hops history to appreciate game, you'd be lucky to find a Sputnik user with one of these qualities. Games an emcee, it goes beyond music, Kendricks a catchy pop star...You take Sing About Me out of his discography and he has no emotional songs at all... Of course you kids are going to like your own generation of music, most people I've met that prefer traditional hip hop far prefer game to Kendrick though...

"Sing about me is top 10 hip hop all time"

fuck no it isn't.

Lambs has a point when it comes to wordplay. Kendrick really isn't close to the best when it comes to that. But saying he doesn't have any emotional songs besides Dying of Thirst is ludacris
