dude skylar isn't even that bad a character, i mean she's gone insane but her husband is some serial killer maniac who pretty much sexually assaulted her. and she is forced to side with him, i'd prob go crazy to. she should be as sympathetic as jesse is but b/c she was just kind of a cunt in the first season everyone still hates her

i agree that this is fine for a decent show, however a great show like breaking bad usually manages to do both at the same time, which is what makes those scenes so out-of-place



not to mention that the kleptomania doesn't actually really add anything to anyone else's character, or progress anyone else's character, or anything. i'm not sure it contributes to the show's themes meaningfully either. it's just its own little bubble that starts with marie and ends with marie
