The fact it was the opener is far worse than it being the lead single
What Radiohead should have done was released Decks Dark and The Numbers as the 2 singles since they're probably the most radio friendly songs on here by far
Daydreaming is a great song, but I'm not sure what caused them to make it a single since it's rather offputting to the casual listener

i get what you mean and i have experienced the same with certain singles but in this instance for me personally i do not find it to be the case
also daydreaming was released prior as well as a single was it not? i swear it was. and i like that song.
