Another album sounding like DE and KNY would be a little boring imo. They perfected their modern style with DE, experimented with it on Koi, literally no reason to do it again...Now they should experiment with the sound simillar to ATF and White Pony, or just create something we have no idea we can hear from them. They sure can pull something innovative, they’re Deftones. Brief Exchange was a great example of what I’d love them to do, fucking amazing song. I’m sure we’ll be surprised many times in the future

I haven't listen the last 2 albums of deftones, but by reading your comments, Chino is going into a duran duran approach, and honestly I'm fine with it, at this point of my life if a band abandons metal in favour of creative and meaningful pop tunes, it's difficult for me to be angry with them.

Deftones is far from turning into pop, I can assure you that rodrigo. Gore has some of their heaviest moments.
