That's cool, SirLord. I wasn't really calling you out or anything. It was just funny cuz I thought it fit the proghead narrative so well. Like "rap doesn't have enough guitar wank"

Nah don't worry, I may not listen to tons of newer stuff but I'll always be open-minded for new stuff there are even cases of bands which I don't like but since everyone loves them I keep going back to them to see if they will click on me one day

@death: Yeah I know that's why you said it but the discussion that's happening now is the reason why it's a good thing.

Hip-hop is pretty much all about the beats and production for me.

As much as I love some of their other albums, this is the definitive Floyd album for me.

The opening of 'Breathe'...

This album would be perfect if On the Run didn't existed. That track does nothing for me and for the album in general as well imo.

I don't get what's the purpose of its existence and can't avoid skipping it.

The whole album crumbles.

The thing needs to be heard in its entirety as a single piece or you might as well bin it dude.

Man but what's the point of On the Run, seriously, I'm always tempted to skip it to reach the grandeur of time and the rest of tracks.

Taken in context of the album it's a statement.Everything rushing by, no time to take it in. A constant treadmill set to sprint through life and which will inevitably send ya crackers if you don't slow down. Which leads into 'Time'

Well I guess that into that context it makes a lot of sense, still I can't enjoy it

I used to think the same (about the shorter songs not being that interesting) but know I love them, the album as a whole sounds awesome and even by themselves the shorter songs work pretty well, they're atmospheric as hell

I used to have that section of Time as my alarm, It always scared the shit out of me. Certainly it wasn't the best way to start the day. Masochism I think.
