🤔 yeah that opening run is ridiculous and I love the variety here*, holding steady as #2 ‘verge just behind Jane I reckon. You Fail Me is fair comp, but it’s not beating this today.
*(although I feel Converge get pigeonholed as a ‘heavy only’ type band, whereas they’ve always had cuts that contradict this to an extent - yeah sure they be heavy, but it’s not all they do and never has been).

Doesn’t to me. My life completely changed just after this came out. I was jamming this a lot in a brand new city, living independently / ‘alone’ for the first time. I will always associate the two. Moved house 4 times and had 5(6?) different jobs since then, plus met someone and ended up eventually getting married.
So yeah, that feels like a bloody long time ago to me! Haha.
I’m guessing the next 14 years will feel rather differently from a time perspective point of view, tends to happen as you age.

Oh my life is completely different now and I feel like a different human in a lot of ways, but this album still feels fresh as hell, especially compared to Dusk or Bloodmoon.

Oh it definitely sounds fresh man, I get that for sure 👌🏻… this is just that one album I associate with my move I guess, so in actual time it feels like long ago now.
I reckon this will be something you can revisit after a break and it’ll be like hearing it for the first time in many ways, certainly was for me quite recently.

nah I have a Jane and an AWLWLB.
Not sure what to do next. The Jane one is kind of massive, it goes from the top of my shoulder to pretty near my elbow. Got one of the moons from All We Love on my forearm.
You Fail Me is probably the next easiest one but idk if I want a severed hand visible on my arm lol.

Dusk in Us will probably be next when I feel like I have enough cash. I’ve also just been looking at a lot of the artwork in the lyrics inserts on my vinyl so maybe I’ll try to do something with one of those.
The Sadness Comes Home one is sick so I really think about that one a lot.
