if i heard a literal 12 year old playing Nosferatu Man the exact way it sounds on the album I would think damn this kid’s Britt Walford
Edit: darn page break ruined the joke

Because Britt and the rest of the band started playing when they were around 12 so if Colton thinks that they sound like they’re 12 here then he’s probably not far off (although I admittedly don’t remember how old they were when they recorded this)

Oh
LOL
|

I looked it up and he was actually 21 when Spiderland came out, so I guess it’s more accurate to say that in playing for ~10 years they’ve actually become much better than what Colton gives them credit for
My point being that Colton is just plain wrong

average 21 year old could play it after maybe 2 months and it would not sound any worse

Why don’t you give it a try then if you think it’s so bad, it shouldn’t be too hard?

I thought Colton already recorded his "I can do better" album

I feel Colton's distaste for this is such an integral aspect of his identity here, that even if he became convinced of its quality, he would undoubtedly conceal this from the community because optics
