I feel like sometimes on this album Kendrick's a little overambitious and sounds a little overwhelmed amongst the different sounds and ideas he's attempting to tackle. But Momma's executed perfect. It takes its time with its subject matter - which I do understand might be boring - and delivers it in as coherent a manner as this album gets, and it works better than most of the other songs. And then of course the weird instrumental shift is amazing.
