Yeah such an emotional song. Yeah it was great including it in the re-issue although I never heard the album before that re-issue so yeah. He should've included the extended version of Hero's Return on the re-issue as well

I'm not a big fan of When the Tigers Broke Free, in fact I often find myself skipping it :/

Ah man that hurts I think it works perfectly in the context of the album
That last verse cmon so much emotion right there
|
| |
I've just never considered it a proper part of the album what with being a bonus track. Maybe I should listen to it more and try and refrain from skipping it.

Damn JT :[
That's why I love Roger so much. His voice is "technically" speaking, not good, but it's emotionally perfect and his lyricism is pretty much the best ever

Yeah he's my favourite lyricist of all time. He doesn't have an aesthetically pleasing voice but yeah when he goes he fucking goes. Except on the Wall he straight up sucked on that one

His voice is perfect for conveying the emotion in this album.

Yeah he kills it on this album, those extended notes on the Gunner's Dream mmm

As for his lyrics I'd probably rank him somewhere in my top 5 lyricists.

Same. Thinking about it the Fletcher Memorial Home one might actually be my all time favourite solo of his. Only Dogs and Comfortably Numb come close to that one for me.

He's got a lot of great solos. Think my actual Gilmour favorite is the one at the end of pigs
