First time i had heard " Welcome to the Black parad" i didn't know what to think they had changed from a pop-punk bank to a old school, 70's rock and roll band. Even though i still bought the album i was soon surprised to find that every song was cathcy and was very exciting and had soldiy my chem as one of my favorite bands the album had a nice opening with " The End " and " Dead!" and had some powerful cathcy hits " This Is How i disapear" " Sharpest Lives" and " HOuse of the wolves" at the same time have melodic songs like " I don't love you" " Cancer " and " Sleep" The album also had a strong old rock influence with songs like " Welcom to the black parade" " teenagers"and " Disenchanted" and the album's song "mama" which had an eerie chorus and closing then there was the albums closing "Famous Last Words" which is argubaly the best song on the album

i agree with curanza, though the way i see it, they went from mediocre pop punk to mediocre arena rock, but there are really some quite enjoiable songs here
