I do find that one common complaint that is a fair point is how this band feels too overproduced and that the instrument feel so disjointed because of that. Can definitely see that criticism and at times definitely agree.

Nah they don't sound anything like Suffo, but if you saw Suffo live 20 years ago half of the bands on the bill sounded similar to this and everyone called them tech death. Redefining the term decades later as an attempt at gatekeeping something you weren't around for, will make people take you less seriously. They're basically a tongue in cheek origin and some elitists people said the same shit about them back then, but the label stuck. But yeah no amount of internet browsings gonna change peoples mind on what they've experienced, and it's really not that serious to get in arguments about: like the band or don't.

its not redefining it lol there is literally nothing metal here besides the generic melodic leads. metal has been well defined for 56 years but core kids want to be metal so bad theyll call anything with loud amp effects metal



compare this to actual techdeath like origin - antithesis. both are noisemakers but one does it in metal fashion and the other does not

As some kid posting here about how faceless is mallcore back in the aughts, the reality is that yes they are a metal band. But I guess my point is it's a stance not worth^ putting much energy or stock into, shit really doesn't matter in the slightest just do you and don't over think it.
