Souvenirs is their least polished effort but imo it’s all the better for it, if all their albums I find that one has the most uniquely ethereal and transportive atmosphere. Strictly speaking it may not be their most accomplished or definitive work from a songwriting or instrumentation perspective (esp since it lacks Winterhalter’s drums) but as a fan who came in around Kodama’s release Souvenirs still has the biggest place in my heart of all their releases.

Other than some highlight moments this one isnt sticking with me right now which is a bummer, might not be the right time but I think I like Spiritual Instinct more which I didn't expect at all from the singles.

I was surprised when Spiritual Instinct divided people and ended up with quite a few low scores so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this one is doing the same thing just with a different set of people.
