"can someone explain the obsession with goth girls"

i think it's repressed late 2000s/early 2010s nostalgia mixed with the comfort of a distinctly different aesthetic than the girls that rejected them in high school mixed with having watched Scott Pilgrim at least once

it's difficult for me to see the attraction here when my only ref point is her album covers ngl. Apokalypsis is especially off-putting, lol

generally tho? Yeah the 'aesthetic' does admittedly work for me with reasonable regularity

*reads Colton's excellent point once again*

...the 'mainstream' girls at school blocked you from joining their social groups, so you gravitated towards befriending alternative goth-types instead?

No I was always friends with the hot girls in school

But I do live for Chealsea's aesthetic

And I always preferred the goths relative to the hot ones.

“I’m gay so” - aesthetics does not necessarily involve sexual fantasies (hence the different word), so I don’t think sexual orientation matters that much. I was only pointing out similarities in goth attitude, hairstyle and facial resemblance (not to mention Charlotte’s “rest in piss” tattoo, which kinda resonates with the cover of Mrs. Piss). On the other hand, should it happen that one finds CW cute, shared aesthetics can fuel the fire.

looks like not a lot of people know this song, but she’s got a great feature on a Vowws track. I’m pretty sure she just does some background vocals on the second verse and second chorus, but the song is fantastic.

btw Vowws rules and that song is not at all what they normally sound like
