Weird how almost all the songs begin with the chorus
On first spin the clean vocal hooks didn't seem as good as eg Separate Wounds from their last record but hopefully they'll grow on me

"Bound to the Burn" had me sold on checking the album out and possibly see them live on the North American tour, at least.

I've never really been into these guys but this album is pulling me in that direction. "Whispers of Your Death" hit my heart as a cat owner myself. These guys can write tearjerkers. Hot take: The title track should have been the closer. It swells to a massive crescendo and then the album kinda restarts momentum after that. It's a little awkward in the tracklisting.
