all their closers sans burial are goated, including vex. i like happiness the most but not by that big a margin as rough hands is the best song of crisis

White Devil is awesome wtf

White Devil is easily the weakest song off of Watch Out imo
It feels very much like a weaker rehash of any of their more aggressive tracks. It's fun but man I do find it a bit forgettable.
Kinda hard to hold up to such a wicked album tho tbf

yeah it sounds like it was written in 5 minutes because they needed to fill space on the album. if you just need songs to be in that style then i guess you could squint at it and have it look good but it feels really glaringly low effort from these guys + is grating and annoying on top of it all
probably their worst non oc/yc + familiar drugs/complicit song honestly but this discog has set the bar high as hell

wild calling anything a trash aof take right before unveiling crisis t/t slander lol. might have to turn in the fan card for that one. i dont make the rules
yc is the only one of those thats kinda wack. at least in context it looks better given like 8 other songs on that album are egregiously mediocre lmao

YC/OC sucks as whole, we can agree on that

It's their worst easily but it grew on me a lot

i had the opposite experience ngl. i loved that album when i got into these guys in high school. was only around the time they were rolling out this that i started finding it unengaging. i still think the northern is one of their best songs but its a pretty seismic gap between that and the rest

It's very chorus driven which I disliked when I first listened to it because I had an aversion to anything that leaned into pop but I've gotten over myself and can appreciate it more now (not saying people who don't like the album need to get over themselves, that was just my experience/reasoning)

lol thats fair. i guess that also contextualizes me shift on it since i was jamming more streamlined poppy stuff when i got into it. like i couldnt really vibe with the self titled back then which ive fully come around on and adore now
i dont really think the presence of hooks is my problem with it though as much as the choruses themselves j arent written that well to me anymore lol, but that is okay because they killed it here in that regard

Just jammed this in full and yeah definitely worth a bumperooni. I even love Survivor's Guilt now.
Only song I still don't really care for is the closer tbh

its not really a highlight for me but its still sick as hell. love the way they ride out that groove at the end until it switches all acoustic

Honestly thought this band was defunct. This is sweet
