Have you guys heard the remastered version of YOTBR? Someone on reddit remastered it and it sounds really great. He'll send it to you for free if you show him evidence you own the album.

that new song/b-side is bad bad not good lol, desperately hope they boot the producer of this to the curb and self-prod again for vax3

The "b-side" is a song from 2011 for the Arkham City soundtrack and it has the YOTBR style production on it since it was still from that era. I'm not too concerned on that front regarding the production for Vaxis III.

not Deranged although I don't like that song either. was talking about The Joke, it's a b-side from these sessions

Ah, I thought you meant Deranged as the b-side to The Joke. I didn't pay too much attention to the production since I only listened to it a couple times and haven't really thought of it since.

New song debuted at their latest show called "Blindside Sunny". Obvious MCR influence in this one, giving me Danger Days vibes

Blind Side Sonny has officially been released! I haven’t listened to it yet, but the Coheed and Cambria subreddit is heavily split

I admire the direction into something a little more "punky" but I gotta admit, I'm not feeling much from it. If they leaned more into that punk sound and pulled off some crazy ATDI sounding stuff, I'd be all over it. But definitely feels more MCR that ATDI.

Travis really spent a year playing with Iero in LS Dunes and his takeaway was "damn I should ripoff MCR wholesale with my other band" lol

I listened to Blind Side Sonny and "Give 'Em Hell Kid" back to back and yeah, you'd think they're on the same album
But hey, if MCR ain't gonna drop a new album, I'd take a Coheed rendition lol

Very curious how Vaxis III shapes up. Shoulders wasn't very indicative of the album, after all.
Song is very fun and the main lick is extremely catchy, I just wish that they changed it up a bit. They have a habit on their poppier songs of being pretty vanilla and repetitive with their guitar playing. This song is actually more varied than some of the more similar sounding stuff that they've dropped in the last decade.
Definitely has a lot of MCR influence, and I'm totally fine with that. Idk, these guys just do it for me and I totally recognize that I'm a helpless superfan

I don't think any of their lead singles are indicative of their respective albums, this is why I find Coheed albums so exciting to delve into. Like the "jungle" outro on Blind Side Sonny is the biggest left turn I think I've ever heard from this band, I'm curious where they're gonna go from there. Imagine a D'n'B inspired Coheed track, ain't heard one of those yet!
