honestly just get me in the studio with them. i with my naive bubs eyes on this valentines day look at this band and think "i can fix them, no really i can!"
this is a worthless thought to wax on this site lmao but like, when you hear the shit theyve been playing live and the heavy parts go reasonably hard, theyve been slowly trying to let that out of the cage and it probably goes harder than this does at its most intense, but then theyre also trying to splice in the most deliberately poppy moments in their whole discog into the same songs and everything is stapled together so shoddily and incoherently. im not really sure this new stuff is as flatline lazy and generic the way erase me is, and in a way im not even sure its better for it lmao, at least theres a framework that explains that abum. i cannot really tell who the audience for this thing is gonna be or if they even exist! and even still itd be like a 3 not a 2 and still a step back from this. woof
you could probably edit all the electronics, nu influence, and overly lame clean parts out of these songs and theyd be pretty solid, but that would leave each song at about a minute runtime lmao, plus most of their audience probably doesnt have the audio editing chops to do that in the first place, nor should they have to!
tl;dr: if even i think this band is washed, theyre done lmao
