I remember enjoying some tracks from their early releases, but I lost track of them. For fans, what elevates them above other similar artists? Have they had any drastic sound changes during that time or have they stayed fairly consistent in that regard? I remember them having a pretty hardcore influenced sound but quite a lot of blues licks mixed in, too. I just listened to Thing With Feathers and it was not what I was expecting, much more mainstream sounding.

wouldnt say they ever had a drastic sound change. this is their most diverse and "experimental" but their sound has been pretty consistent throughout their discog and this still has a lot of "classic etid" sounding stuff. they j do it really fuckin well riffs are so crazy and sharp (same goes for the ridiculous drumming on here) and keith is one of the best there is behind the mic
