Considering that Bruce has had mouth cancer and has been touring virtually non stop for 40 years, he sounds great.

Think we can cut him a little slack.

running through it against my better judgment, and so far "Lost in a Lost World" is the only one I'd ever consider revisiting out of this first batch

Liked this more than I expected to, but that's thanks to the second half. "Darkest Hour" was really good, only held back by my dislike of Bruce's modern vocals.

Imo, this album is bloated af. But there are some very good songs on it, The Parchment is easily my favorite.

@ Pleb: I completely agree.. considering his age and what he has been through, it's incredible that he still sings like this. But that knowledge and consideration doesn't change that he sounds strongly regressed from earlier. It's understandable and given that context it is still admirable what he is able to pull off. Nevertheless and without blaming hhim, it is a downpoint of the album anyway to me

Lush album, better than the last couple, not quite as food as AMOLAD for me, but prefer to Brave new World as well. The vocal melody at the end of Lost in a Lost World is sublime. Bruce actually sounds great.

Fantano making your day is like the gayest (not in a derogatory way toward gay people, just as an outdated expression which fits amazingly well here imo) thing ever

So far this is on par with the final frontier, which is not a very big compliment to be honest. . . very dispersive, very classic maiden tropes, not into it and I am a huge maiden stan

Non related to music, but I kinda hate the cover, I think last maiden covers have been very bad tbh.

This is way better than I thought it would be, but I doubt I'll listen to it again any time soon.
