new song is pretty good but feels like its missing an extra gear imo

[2]

When it gets interesting, it ends quickly

1st single is better

But I think I like both of these songs better than all of Solar Power.

In a cover story with Rolling Stone published on Thursday, May 15, the pop star (whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor) opened up about how, after her second psychedelic therapy session, she looked for Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's sex tape and watched the entire thing.

"I found it to be so beautiful," Lorde, 28, told the publication. "And maybe it’s f---ed up that I watched it, but I saw two people that were so in love with each other."

The "What Was That" hitmaker said that she saw a "purity" in it.

"They were jumping off this big boat.… They were like children," said Lorde. "They were so free. And I just was like, ‘Whoa. Being this free comes with danger.’"

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Green Light" singer revealed she pursued MDMA and psilocybin therapy from 2022 to 2024.

Not at all a fan of either new single

Both are very raw and not in a good way. They don't feel like completed songs.

I'm interested in seeing how the songs work within the album. I trust Lorde as a songwriter even after how bland this thing was. I'm just considerably less hyped after those two singles failed to make a splash. They sound like Melodrama filtered through SP's inability to land an interesting hook.

Weirdly enough, this has me more engaged than Virgin (at least on first listens)
