Well yeah, i dont like much tech death (as long as we're talking about a specific niche in death metal and not literally any death metal that has highly technical playing). But im specifically talking about the ones that are heavily influenced by them.

obscura: melodically-inclined focused on atmosphere, sci-fi theme
necrophags: neoclassical riff / solo structures with clinical theme
sop: baroque song structures, string quartets with guitar, lovecraftian themes
don't listen to enough archspire to really "brand" them. they're all pretty different. I mean obscura / necro shared members and come from the same country, so i think similarities will be inevitable, just like most german thrash metal has a certain sound to it.
