I thought you just put it on and smiled from the awesome start to the even better finish. That's what I do.

This is fresh, breezy, free and unconstrained but lightweight as fuck.

I’m very very conflicted.
Just looking at the cover raises questions.

She Came Home For Christmas sums it up. It’s absolutely fucking abysmal and great at the same time.

As for the cover I don’t know who that is and whether or not to befriend it by talking about the El Classico over a pint or buy it flowers and frenger it

Ello Doof!

Yeah, this is definitely one I’d have written off as fucking useless but there’s definitely something about it.

Haha that song sums it up perfectly. It’s not my normal jam at all but there’s something magical about it.

Mew just write really nice pop music that makes me want to hit play again when the album finishes.

I’m on my third listen in two days so something is reeling me in (Love 156)
It really is a breath of fresh air with a sense of the band doing their own thing and yet done even slightly different this would be the most superficial, packaged, infantile bilge created.

This is like being on holiday taking an open topped bus ride along the coast.
You’re on the top deck, the sun is out and glinting off the ocean waves as they crest the golden sanded shore.
The setting is absolutely perfect, you just can’t help be out off by the only other passenger on the bus is a bloke and he is sat right next to you with his hand on your thigh.

You just need to embrace him Zak, deep down, you like the attention and the hand on your thigh even though you’re trying not to.

Christ, once this digs its claws in it is impossible to shake it off. Irritating as fuck.

I’ve had to listen to both 1975 and Savage Garden to compare as I’m sure there’s hints of both bands on this but nope thankfully there isn’t.

I really do enjoy this.

didn't expect Savage Garden to show up in a thread like this but they do have some banger songs
