Uppin to 5, best thing to come out so far this year hands the fuck down. Absolutely everything I could’ve hoped for two decades after Downward and so far beyond what could be expected. Folding scratches that melancholy long distance stare like nobody’s business

it's good, but for me is just a decent recycle of 90's alternative rock without any great innovation

I will say the song writing here isn't as good as their two staple albums but dam those riffs...

i think this is their peak of song writing, every song is a journey. i have concluded that i still prefer downward production though

I feel these songs aren't as technical and complicated - very straight forward....which is fine by me.

I think that because of that approach along with what the production and songwriting lends, the songs become that much more huge

to me it sounds like Hum listened to ISIS’s Panopticon and reshaped their sound accordingly

def an album for hum fans, very organically matured sound that they likely assumed longtime hum fans would be most appreciative of

Without question Wolfe. Definitely post metal sprinkled around this album.

big agree, think I was tempted to give this line some air in the rev but didn't want to lose focus from the stoner/doom vibes

I'll only rest in peace when soul coughing reunites, but that would be unlikely.

It was, but the metal dumbasses of this page downvoted the album for being "generic"

That pisses me off, because it is everything BUT generic imo.
