i'm approaching the century mark for the amount of records purchased this year alone (most used ftr). this is what happens when you're in your 30s sans children apparently.

when i started my first job out of college and paid off my student debt, i had what felt like an expendable income and i did dirty things

Yea I’ve spent thousands on vinyl over the years. Haven’t gotten any in a while though. Spent 120 alone on my DEI splatter one lol.

"People who five this are probably the same people who think that Marshall Mathers LP and To Pimp a Butterfly are masterpieces."
not to dig into this statement too much which may or may not have been serious but i'm actually high key fascinated by this because i feel like the White People Love This venn diagram for rap definitely includes both MMLP and RTJ but i never considered TPAB to be in there, though it certainly is a media darling
hm hm hm fascinating

I think it’s a solid investment/hobby. Vinyl usually holds it value pretty well and I like being able to support the bands I like since I use Spotify.

most of my recent spare-funds have gone to my unemployed mom and mountain bike related stuff. 5 day Moab Utah bike trip slated for September i'm psyched for barring Rona related issues. the RTJ bundle was the first music i've paid for since concerts in February

i was pretty late to record collecting tbh. i had a few btmi LPs that i bought at their shows back in the day and some old shit that i inherited from an uncle who died a long time ago, but i only became a serious/obsessive/irresponsible collector over the past couple years.

Ah good job Satty, building a rig is a lot simpler than people think and honestly a ton of fun!

i only yelled "fuck!" like 3-4 million times while i was putting it together.
it was a rewarding experience, though.
good to see ya here, win!

I'd be tempted to build a gaming rig just for the joy of modding games I've loved on consoles but at the end of the day im way too much of a casual

I built a computer for music production, it was kinda fun I suppose.

That's what I'd probably end up doing. And then id spend about 30 minutes trying to mod skyrim, run into one issue, get frustrated, and give up forever
