Nearing Q4 of 2020 and solidifying some of my 5's. This particular one hovered back and forth all year between a 4.5 and a 5, but I listened again tonight after a month or so of giving it a break and it didn't lose an ounce of its magic. This is one of the best and most unique country albums I've heard; admittedly out of a small sample size but nevertheless I'll always view this as a key gateway record for what the genre has to offer in the present.

Sowing, you really ought to check out Phosphorescent - Muchacho, easily my favorite "cosmic country" (if that's a thing) and an absolute classic album for me. Country/Americana at the core but with tons of chamber pop and psych influences throughout and tons of emotion.
